Science and Innovation 2026
The Portuguese Science Summit Innovation 2026 will mark the Agency for Research and Innovation’s (AI²) first major event.
The call for proposals on topics for discussion drew significant interest from the community, with 206 submissions received between May 26 and June 16. The proposals will be organized into 20 sessions across six broad areas: Digital; Health; Environment and Territory; Industry and Energy; Society; and the Science and Innovation Ecosystem.
The submissions involved more than 1,200 participants and approximately 1,000 different organizations . R&D units accounted for 96% of the proposals, followed by companies (63%), various types of associations (49%), and the public sector (44%).
